Prime minister Marcel Ciolacu on Monday congratulated the players of Romania’s football team after their victory at the European Championship in Germany against Ukraine and told them that their victory brought joy to Romanian homes.
The head of the executive, who began a two-day visit to Bavaria on Monday, attended the Romania-Ukraine match in the stands of the Football Arena in Munich.
„Proud to be with Romania’s national team and its supporters at the European Football Championship in Munich. Well done, guys! Your victory brought joy to the homes of Romanians!”, said Marcel Ciolacu, in a post on the Government’s Facebook page.
Before the match, the prime minister sent a message of encouragement to Romania’s national team, expressing his conviction that the energy of the tens of thousands of Romanian fans who came to Munich will give the players the necessary energy to achieve victory.
Romania’s national football team started with a victory at the European Football Championship – EURO 2024, hosted by Germany, 3-0 (1-0) against Ukraine on Monday at the Football Arena in Munich in Group E.
